Doubting?

You ever doubt God? Maybe you have asked God for something, but really you are in doubt that it is going to happen? Maybe you think that He is much too big to worry about your SMALL request. Or maybe you really don't think that he really actually hears you. Last night at the Mosaic we talked about How God is so in love with you that He listen to whatever you have to say. Check this out real quick in Mark 11:22-25

² "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. ²³ "Truly^[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. ²⁴Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. ²⁵ And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." ^[26]

Have you been praying for something to happen in your life, but not really expecting it? When you ask God for something ask as if you already received it, have faith God will do what you need He hears you. Don't doubt in Him, but believe and pray as if it is already done. I love what the last part says,

²⁵And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

So many times we ask God, but we are not receiving because we are still not forgiving others. Make sure you are going to bed with a clean mind not holding anything against anybody. Forgive them because Jesus forgave you!

    Quit wishing upon a star, and start praying to the one true God! The one that can really make things happen, when you pray don't doubt but believe!

Mosaic youth.net / Arguing with God?

You ever find yourself arguing with God? There was a point in my life where I literally argued with God about my life. Thinking that what I wanted to do was more important than what He had planned for my life. I kept telling God there is no way that I could be a pastor, for one I can’t speak God, two I am definitely not good in front of people, and three that is not what I wanted to do. I kept putting excuses and walls up. Finally I just stopped the excuses and trusted God. 

    There is a story in the bible, God appeared to Moses and God told him that he was going to go and rescue the Israelites, and Moses started listing out his list of why he couldn’t do what God was telling him to do. 

10  But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” 11  Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.”

                                                - Exodus 4:10-12

    I just had to trust God in what He was telling me to do. I had to have faith that if He is going to give me a calling for ministry that He would not leave me out there hanging.

What is God asking you to do? 

    What has God ask you to do, and are you still wrestling with Him like Moses was? Still listing out your things that you are not good at and telling God that there is no way that you could do what he is calling you to do?

Trust Him knowing that he will give you the tools you need to do what he has called you to do! 

God doesn’t call the equipped, but He equips the called!

 

 

 

Life Change!!!

Tonight at the Mosaic God worked in powerful ways! We saw two people give their life to God, and 4 telling God that they were going to follow Him no matter what God asked them to do or change in their life. I dont know about you but life change pumps me up!!! I love it when people give their life to God, and are willing  to go out and follow Him. Heaven goes nuts when only one child comes back to God. Check it out in Luke 15 and see that God throws a party whenever one of His children comes back.

The Beat on the Street!

Super exited for our next series at the Mosaic! It is the beat on the street, and we are gonna be taking popular songs and talking about them on how they look in our personal lives. I am praying that God will motivate people to go to the next level with him. That His power and love will be felt at the Mosaic as we praise and talk about what He can do in our lives. I am excited for life change that God will do. Would you pray for the Mosaic, and ask God to do something incredible for the greater good of the Kingdom! Be quiet and Listen!

I had this intresting conversation with an amazing person tonight, and as i just listened to him I was just amazed of all the things he has gone through in his life. It made me really think as he is telling me his story i could feel the pain, hurt, and the cry of his heart for something more. I could tell that all those things really bothered him, and made me really realize that there is all kind of people like that around the world everyday. People who are waiting for someone to care about them, waiting for someone just to give them the time to tell how they feel. So many times we get it in our head that we have to be the light by talking to people about Jesus, but how much more of a light could you be to a person if you took the time and listened to them and really cared about them. There is all kinds of people with a past they wish to forget, with problems they really cant figure out, and looking for answers that nobody is really answering. Take the time to Listen to someone, get to know them you might be suprised of what you might hear.

Pray much?

Tonight at the Mosaic we had small groups, and one of the major aybjects that we talk about was prayer. we started talking about how God loves to hear your prayers, and we said that prayer life is critical to be a follower of Jesus.
One thing in my life that God has been hammering is to make time for Him. To make time to dump my heart out and let Him know what is going on. As I talk to people they always say that they cant pray good, or that they cant pray like other people pray. But prayer is a conversation between you and God. God is not listening for eloquent words but for your heart! As long as you told him how you really feel, yours want, needs, and thankful for. If you can do that then you just had an awesome prayer. Just pray! Talk to Him!

Philippians 4:6 NLT

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Scared to Let Go?

So a couple of weeks ago i got an aligment on my car and new tires. It was amazing what a difference it was to my car, i didnt have to hold on to my steering wheel like a 2 year old squeezes his stuffed animal. Now i had the freedom of being able to take my hand of the steering wheel and my car would be able to go straight. But, for some reason i wouldnt loosen up on my wheel. I still felt that as soon as I let that steering wheel go my car was going to swerve another direction! And a lightbulb turned on in my head. How many times in our lifes are we scared to live in the freedom of Jesus. We still hold on to our old ways because we believe that it is still going to be the same way it was before Jesus came into our life. That our spiritual journey still hasnt got aligned even though we asked Jesus into our hearts. Sometimes we believe that our struggles our way too much for even Jesus to handle. Are you scared to let Go of your old ways, and live in the total freedom of Christ? 

2 Corinthians 5:17

^"17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:^[a] The old has gone, the new is here!"

Weird fact...

    There is a study that was just conducted, and the study was to find out who evangelist the most among believers. It was between believers who were saved less than a year and the one ones who were saved longer. When the result came in it showed that believers who were saved less than a year are more likely to tell people about Jesus than others. Now to me that is so weird, because i would think the longer a person has experienced the love of God, the more that they would want there friends to know about that same love. Why is it that we stop talking to people about Jesus as are walk gets longer? Who was the last person that you talk to, and tried to share the gospel with? 

Matthew 28:19 says, " Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

Who are you going to talk to this week that might need Jesus? 

Life of a Disciple...

So tonight at the Mosaic we are kicking of our new series called Life of a disciple. And God has really been speaking to me through the whole message about this whole series. How God is not okay with us calling our selves just a believer, but he wants people that really follow Him. People that called themselves a disciple a person that follows him in their everyday life. Tonight at the Mosaic we will get our first look of what it means to have a life of a DISCIPLE. Hope to see you there tonight.
